The subject Roga Nidan evum Vikriti Vigyan i.e. Ayurveda Pathology & Diagnostic procedures is concerned with 2nd professional BAMS course. It deals with the basic concepts of Ayurveda pathology and the complete understanding of disease thus helping for the early diagnosis and proper planning of treatment course as fruitfull treatment depends
on a proper diagnosis. This subject serves as a “bridge” or “link” between the preclinical sciences (anatomy, physiology, etc.) and the courses in clinical medicine. It is the study of what is abnormal or wrong or disease. The main aim of this subject is fulfilled by Learning the various techniques of clinical examination of patients as per Ayurvedic and Modern principles of diagnosis as well as through examination of organs, tissues, bodily fluids etc.
Without knowing the causes and mechanism of disease, one would not be able to institute appropriate treatment or suggest preventive measures to the patient.
Our department focuses on practical demonstrations to acquaint our students with best practical experience. For accurate diagnosis of any disease lab investigations as well as clinical examination
are essential tools hence we conduct practicals of lab investigations in our departmental laboratory and for clinical examination we demonstrate clinical examination methods on patients in our hospital.
